Background

I am in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology program at Vermont State University Randolph and am showcasing my Electrical Project. I wanted to create a voice modulation mask, as it would provide great experience for myself and would result in something fun and enjoyable for others to utilize. Feel free to utilize my work if you would like to make the voice modulation mask too!

Ethicality

The Voice Modulation Mask is used purely for entertainment and educational use. It acts as a way for me to learn while remaining entertaining. This can be useful for cosplay, theater, music, or STEM education where students explore sound and electronics.

Energy Saving Strategies I implemented:

  • Efficient Audio Amplifier (PAM8403)

    • Class D design with over 85% efficiency reduces heat and power loss.

  • Low-Power Voice Modulator (HT8950)

    •  Consumes minimal current for real-time pitch and voice effects.

  • Rechargeable LiPo Battery (EEMB 3.7V 2000mAh)

    • High energy density and compact size for long-lasting performance.

  • Smart Charging Module (USB-C with Protection)

    • Automatic power-down, adjustable charging rate, and built-in safety features optimize energy use.
